Editorial and Product Design  – “Pastilla” presents a new tool for cooking which was specially designed for the similarly named Moroccan dish. In the making of these dumpling-like turnovers, the mixing of special spices, as well as the folding of the dough are essential.

Therefore the tool not only has a more optimized function to conventional storage tools for spices but also does its unique form result from the process of folding the dough.

The brochure presents the product. The images of a digital 3D model of the tool, as well as the topic of mixing and overlayering are supported by colourful graphics which were generated through a special method, their composition and a mix of Latin or German and Arabic typography. A folded poster and an analog prototype built out of acrylic glass top the project off.
